Smoothies are a delicious and healthy snack any time of the year. Your favorite fruits, milk and/or juices combine to make a yummy treat that satisfies your sweet tooth without the guilt. If you are looking to take your smoothie to the next level, you can add this Protein Smoothie Booster in it for lasting staying power. Try it with a light and fresh Strawberry & Coconut combination or this rich Blackberry Banana Protein Smoothie!Protein Smoothie Booster is an easy way to make your blended beverages healthier with added protein, fiber and vitamins. Take your smoothies and shakes to the next level with this healthy mixture of protein powder, flaxseed, almond meal and chia seeds.

You can toss everything together in the blender to make quick work of it, or you can separate out the layers of this Blackberry Banana Protein Smoothie for a more visually appealing glass. Kids along with us kids at heart love a pretty glass to sip on, so do it whatever works best for you! Most of the time I just toss it all together to have a protein packed snack ready in just minutes.

I love to store bags of frozen fruit in my freezer for smoothies all year long. Whether I buy them in the freezer aisle, or I toss fruit that is about to go bad and won’t get used in a ziploc bag, it is there and ready to blend up. If you are eyeing that pack of strawberries that is starting to loose their edge, bananas that are browning or a box of blueberries that have just started to shrivel a bit, don’t let them go to waste. Bag them up and pop them in the freezer for later use!

I actually prefer to use frozen fruits in my smoothie for that extra thick and creamy texture. This way I don’t have to add any ice and water it down.
