- 1/2 c. melted butter
- 3/4 c. old fashion oats
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. flour
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 c. baking apples tart, peeled & sliced
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 c. water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Preheat your oven to 350°.
Mix butter, oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt in a medium bowl. Spread half the oat mixture into the bottom of a greased 9x13 pan.
In a small saucepan cook the sugar, cornstarch, water and vanilla over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes or until thick.
Top the oat mixture with the sliced apples and pour the cornstarch mixture over the apples.
Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture on top.
Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Let rest 1 hour before serving.
