  • 1/2 c. melted butter
  • 3/4 c. old fashion oats
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 4 c. baking apples tart, peeled & sliced
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla


  • Preheat your oven to 350°.
  • Mix butter, oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt in a medium bowl. Spread half the oat mixture into the bottom of a greased 9x13 pan.
  • In a small saucepan cook the sugar, cornstarch, water and vanilla over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes or until thick.
  • Top the oat mixture with the sliced apples and pour the cornstarch mixture over the apples.
  • Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture on top.
  • Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Let rest 1 hour before serving.
