Ingredients

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts trimmed
  • 1 Tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • 1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 Tablespoon avocado or olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cayenne pepper optional
  • 3 cloves garlic chopped
  • ½ cup pecan halves or pieces
  • flakey sea salt

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the maple syrup, mustard, oil, paprika, salt, pepper, and cayenne if using. Add in halved brussels sprouts, tossing to coat.
  • Using a kitchen tongs, arrange the sprouts in a single layer in your air fryer basket, working in batches if needed to not overcrowd. Keep any leftover maple mixture and set aside.
  • Air fry for 10 minutes. When the 10 minutes have passed, add in the garlic and pecans and drizzle with the leftover maple mixture.
  • Continue to air fry for an additional 5 minutes until the garlic is golden and the sprouts are crispy.
  • Remove and transfer to a serving platter. Top with a pinch of flaky sea salt and optional fresh parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

Real Maple syrup is going to give you the most robust flavor, however you can substitute honey or golden syrup for pure maple syrup.
