Cast Iron Skillet Cookie
It doesn't get much better than this Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie for an easy and absolutely delicious dessert recipe. A chewy salted chocolate chip cookie is caramelized around the edges from a cast iron skillet for the perfect texture.

- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup salted butter softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 10 ounce package dark chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375°F. If your 10 inch cast iron pan isn't well seasoned, spray it with baking non-stick spray or coat with the thin layer of butter.
In a medium bowl, beat the sugars, butter and vanilla extract. Add in the egg and blend until just combined.
Add the flour, baking soda and salt to a medium bowl and whisk. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients just until well combined.
Reserve 1/4 cup chocolate chips and mix in the remaining chocolate chips. Spread the dough in a 10 inch cast iron skillet and top with reserved chocolate chips.
Bake at 375° for 15-20 minutes until the center is fully cooked.
Allow to cool to room temperature before serving.
