  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup salted butter softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 1/4 cup flour
  • 10 ounce package dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. If your 10 inch cast iron pan isn't well seasoned, spray it with baking non-stick spray or coat with the thin layer of butter.
  • In a medium bowl, beat the sugars, butter and vanilla extract. Add in the egg and blend until just combined.
  • Add the flour, baking soda and salt to a medium bowl and whisk. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients just until well combined.
  • Reserve 1/4 cup chocolate chips and mix in the remaining chocolate chips. Spread the dough in a 10 inch cast iron skillet and top with reserved chocolate chips.
  • Bake at 375° for 15-20 minutes until the center is fully cooked.
  • Allow to cool to room temperature before serving.
