Buffalo Broiled Chicken Wings

Ingredients

Chicken Wings

  • 12 chicken wings
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Buffalo Sauce

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar

Instructions

  • Place your oven rack 10 inches below the broiler element. Turn the broiler on high to 550ºF and preheat for 20 minutes. If you don't allow the oven to preheat, it may burn the wings.
  • In a small bowl, mix the garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Toss the wings in a large bowl with the spices.
  • In a separate microwave safe bowl, melt the butter and stir in the brown sugar and buffalo sauce.
  • Pour half of the buffalo sauce over the wings and toss until well coated. Microwave the remaining half of the sauce for 90 seconds to thicken it slightly and set aside.
  • Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and a top it with a cooling rack. Place the chicken wings on the cooling rack. Poke the skin of each chicken wing in a couple places with the tip of a knife.
  • Broil the wings on high for 10 minutes.
  • Carefully turn the chicken wings over and broil and additional 10 minutes or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F.
  • Place the wings in a large clean bowl and toss with the remaining buffalo sauce. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
