Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. bacon
  • 3 baking apples peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/3 c. brown sugar

Instructions

  • Dice bacon into small 1/2 inch pieces.
  • In a large skillet over medium high heat, saute the bacon for 3 to 4 minutes, or until it just starts to crisp up.
  • Remove half of the bacon fat and set aside for another use.
  • Add the brown sugar, cinnamon and apples to the pan. Saute for 4-5 minutes over medium heat until the apples are cooked but still have a tiny crisp left on the inside.
  • Serve over your favorite breakfast, sweet or piece of meat!

Notes

Baking apples such as Braeburn or Pink Lady work best for this recipe.
